It is 100% alpaca from a British herd and spun in Britain. Aran 100g skeins approx 140m. This is a beautiful soft and lustrous yarn. Alpaca is a hollow fibre and has less bounce than wool. It would make lovely shawls and accessories and can be used for garments as long as allowance is made for it's lack of spring. I would recommend knitting
